Emma has worked in London and Dublin over the last ten years in many areas of the industry. She is energetic and experienced, versatile, brilliant at accents and, if asked nicely can be very sexy.Aer Lingus gave Emma her first radio commercial followed by AIB, Argos, Centra, Nokia, Independent Directory, Levis, and Dove Body Moisturiser for TV.
Being so versatile, Emma has also voiced approximately 100 English and Irish characters in recording the following audio books in the UK for Clipper Audio, Soundings and Listening Books UK: ‘This is not a novel’ (Jennifer Johnston) ‘No Dress Rehearsal’ (Marion Keyes) The story of Lucy Gault (William Trevor), ‘Savages’ (Edna O’Brien) ‘Jesus and Billy are off to Barcelona’ and ‘Has anyone here seen Larry?’ (Deirdre Purcell) ‘The Builders’ (Maeve Binchy) ‘Anyone but him’ and ‘Maggie’s Story’ (Sheila O’Flanagan) ‘Passages’ (Anne Devlin) ‘The Deverell Woman’ (Meg Hutchinson) and ‘The Woman from Kerry’ (Anne Doughty).
As a narrator with her deep, warm and serious voice, she did two documentaries; ‘The Department’ (Peter Carr/RTE) and ‘Amongst Wolves’ (Yvonne McDonald/RTE).
Emma speaks very good Spanish and German and has recorded in these languages for heritage centres and corporate videos.
Film dubbing in London includes redubbing the female lead in a German accent speaking English in ‘The other side of the bridge’ as well as numerous accents and English speaking characters in ‘Gangs of New York’, ‘Mystics’, ‘Kaos’, and ‘Alexander’.
She has also recorded short stories and drama for RTE radio.
