Voice Over Bio
Tara's first job as a voice actor was voicing the character Leo, a 6-year old boy, for RTE's children's TV show The Rimini Riddle. Later, she was the voice and animatronic operator of Molly in The Morbegs.While working in RTE, she was asked to join the cast of daily radio soap Riverrun. Several radio plays followed and this brought her to the attention of the makers of various CD ROMs, who encouraged her to make a voicereel. She did, and got her first commercial (Magnum/ HB TVC) the following week.
Since then she has not stopped working in radio, TV, ads, documentaries, narration and animation, and her client list (too long to mention in full) includes everyone from Microsoft, Coca Cola, Bank of Ireland, Cadbury and Kellogg's to Bord Gais, Bord Bia and Bord Falite. She has been the "no new messages" voice on the o2 mobile network since its launch in 1996.
Now best known for comedy and acting, Tara is based in London but travels to Ireland frequently for work and is never far from an ISDN line.
