Susan Fitzgerald, radio drama guru

has recorded a radio play for RTE 1 called ‘The Serpent beguiles me’ which is being broadcast on the 21st. It’s great to know there’s still radio drama gigs out there. You don’t hear them so much these days, and they kick *ss! If you’re a VO and know anything about radio dramas, email p@piehole.ie

You can listen to Susan’s demo here.

Voiceover home studios, the new black.

Hugh Barford, one of the piehole guys, is a British voiceover living in Ireland.  Not letting the old accent barrier stop him, Hugh’s  been fairly busy with various gigs.  He’s also busy building himself a home studio.  We know from launching www.piehole.co.uk - it seems to be the growing norm with voice artists abroad.  Hugh also launched his own website which will help him to promote himself more.  If you’re a voiceover with your own home studio, email p@piehole.ie - we’re considering making an advanced search category for this, as we suspect demand for this will grow.

Orla McGovern will be seen in a show

which will open in February in Galway called ‘Nothing to Declare’, based on Oscar Wilde. You can book tickets online.  She will also be on our screens in January in the new series of Maru for TG4. Even though she’s an old hat with voiceovers, Orla’s spanky new voiceover demo can be heard here.

Katherine’s Murphy’s drama students

are currently performing Peter Pan at The Tivoli.   Katherine’s an actress and voiceover who runs a successful drama school in Dublin.  A few of her students are also on Piehole with really cute demos.   She herself will be performing in a production of ‘Jane Eyre’ next March at The Civic in Dublin. Georgina Miller, new voiceover talent,
