Self-diagnosis: Tara Flynn

I’m Tara Flynn, perhaps best known for comedy, but I’ve been acting since 1990, and doing VOs since 1994. I can currently be seen in sketches in Stewart Lee’s Comedy Vehicle, BBC2 (Mondays at 10pm) and I’m the female lead opposite Omid in “Commuter - The Musical” - a sketch in the forthcoming Omid Djalili Show on the same channel. (One of the back-up dancers had been in Hot Gossip - a dream realised right there.)
I’m now based in London, and I’ll be doing live Improv iwith Rufus Hound, Michael Legge and Brendan Dempsey on Apr 15. See www.myspace.com/flynnercom for details.
My top advice for VOs is to treat each VO-recording like an acting job: approach it with the same discipline, creativity and character as you would if you were reading a full-length play. It all comes out in your voice.
Be on time, and match-fit. PLAY TARA’S DEMO.
